The Los Angeles Lakers and Anthony Davis earned a spectacular victory over the Boston Celtics on Sunday, just one day before the team honors the late Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna in a memorial service at the Staples Center on Monday morning.
Davis commented on the game and just how much it meant to the Lakers, given the team will pay tribute to Kobe tomorrow:

Davis iterated the importance of taking care of business and staying “in the moment”in the wake of memorial plans:

The 26-year-old struggled to finish at the rim on Sunday afternoon, but he knocked down 3-of-5 three-pointers and 9-of-12 free-throws en route to 32 points. Davis also added 13 rebounds, three assists and a pair of blocks.
Los Angeles will be hoping the Lakers can honor Kobe's legacy with a championship, and Davis plays a vital role in their aspirations.
The Chicago native entered Sunday's contest averaging 26.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists, but he has been just as superb on the defensive end of the floor. Davis is averaging 2.5 blocks and 1.6 steals, and he should attract plenty of consideration for the Defensive Player of the Year Award.
But Davis came to L.A. to accomplish the ultimate team goal, and he understands the importance of taking things one day at a time, even as the Lakers prepare to remember their fallen hero.
