NBA analyst Chris Broussard believes that money could be a factor on Kawhi Leonard's decision this summer. Broussard said that Leonard will make more than $11 million more if he decides to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers over the Toronto Raptors. Sean Packard of Forbes also confirmed that the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player will also pocket an extra $11.4 million if he goes to the Lakers, considering the taxes in Canada and California.

Leonard remains mum on his free-agency decision, and his camp is not giving even a small clue on where the superstar will play next season. Broussard is convinced that Leonard is not playing around, and he is just carefully studying all of his options.

The 28-year-old superstar has not ruled out a return to the Toronto Raptors, but he is also being linked to the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers. The Raptors and the Lakers are said to be the favorites to land Leonard. Broussard believes that it is a close race, but the Lakers might have a slight edge.

Aside from the money factor, Broussard said that Leonard has always wanted to play for the Lakers. Winning is also important for the former San Diego State standout, and he could get a better chance of winning multiple titles if he teams up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis with the Lakers.
