Jared Dudley may have given his followers a hint before he decided to join the Los Angeles Lakers next season.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN revealed on Tuesday night that Dudley agreed to a one-year deal worth $2.6 million with the Lakers. But before the news about his decision came out, the veteran forward reacted to a Twitter post wherein it was indicated that a $10,000 bet was placed on the Lakers to win the NBA title next season.

Dudley reportedly received strong interest from the Brooklyn Nets and the Detroit Pistons. The Nets wanted to bring him back because of his impact on the team's young roster last season. He provided veteran presence, and showed toughness during their brief playoff run last season.

However, the 33-year-old is reportedly determined to get a chance to play for the retooled Lakers squad. According to Wojnarowski, the San Diego native will get a chance to make an impact on a team that needs a veteran contributor, who can thrive under strong pressure.
Expectations are very high for the Lakers next season despite coming off a dismal year. They acquired Anthony Davis in a blockbuster deal to pair him with LeBron James.
The Lakers are also being mentioned as one of the favorites to land free-agent superstar Kawhi Leonard this summer.
