It was a scary scene for Los Angeles Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope last week. According to TMZ, the veteran was robbed at gunpoint in LA on June 17th, with the thieves stealing a ridiculous $150,000 worth of jewelry and valuables, including a Rolex and his iPhone.

The Lakers role player was hanging out in his driveway around 4 am with a few friends when a car pulled up with three men who eventually put KCP at gunpoint while demanding the valuables. Thankfully, he exited unscathed and didn't suffer any injuries.

Caldwell-Pope was definitely very lucky this didn't take a turn for the worst. Things could've got out of hand quickly if he chose not to cooperate. KCP just inked a 3-year, $39 million deal with the Lakers in 2020 and clearly, he treated himself to some nice belongings. LAPD is now investigating the incident but they've had no luck finding the victims yet.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope enjoyed a relatively decent campaign with LA this past season, averaging 9.7 points per night while starting 67 games. He and Dennis Schroder were the primary duo in the Lakers backcourt, but the latter could be on his way out after a rough postseason where Los Angeles suffered a shock exit in the first round.

Glad KCP is okay from this wild incident and hopefully, the police can find the thieves.
