Who said Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant wasn't a man of the people? Well, we now know for sure he is a friend of the high-schoolers.

After a high-school student tweeted Bryant asking him to save her class from exams, the future Hall of Famer obliged:

I'm not sure who is happier: the students, or the teacher now that he no longer has to grade a bunch of exams. Judging by the smile on the face of the professor, that seems like a tough question to answer.

Kobe Bryant is one of the most well-known athletes to ever walk the face of the earth.

In an illustrious 20-year NBA career, Bryant won five NBA championships, two Finals MVPs, and a Most Valuable Player award in 2007-08.

The now 40-year-old was famously selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the 13th overall pick of the 1996 NBA Draft, but due to his burning desire to play for the Lakers, he was traded from Charlotte to Los Angeles in a deal that sent center Vlade Divac to the Hornets.

It didn't take long for the high-schooler-turned-NBA-star to win over the fans, as he was selected to the All-Star team in his second season in spite of starting just one game for the Lakers that year.

By the 1998-99 campaign, Bryant was a full-time starter for L.A., averaging 19.9 points per game. The following year, Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal began a stretch of dominance that has been unrivaled ever since, winning three straight championships.

Kobe Bryant would later win two more titles in 2009 and 2010, teaming up with the likes of Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, and Lamar Odom to hang a couple of extra banners in Staples Center.
