Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma missed Wednesday's loss to the Denver Nuggets after suffering an injury on Monday against the LA Clippers.

Now, he's nearing return, though he is still not yet 100 percent. His status for the game against the Boston Celtic on Saturday is uncertain, but he seems ready to go.

The ankle injury didn't appear too serious at first. With that said, this was always likely due to how long of a layoff the Lakers had between games.

This puts them in a very awkward position though. The playoffs are becoming more and more unlikely each day for the Lakers. Do they bring Kyle Kuzma back with hopes of making a massive playoff push? Or do they decide to take their time with him and rest him up?

Kuzma has been arguably the best player on the team this season not named LeBron James. He could be very valuable to them in the future, so risking an injury by having him play while not fully healthy seems downright silly.

On the season, Kuzma is averaging 18.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He has looked fantastic offensively for most of the year and the Lakers have to be happy with his progression.
