There may be a dearth of action in the NBA because it’s the offseason, but players are having a lot of it in the gym, where they try to train and workout in preparation for the next campaign.
Count Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma among those bulking up in the gym, as evidenced by this photo he uploaded on his Instagram account along with a caption expressing his gratitude for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for inspiring him.

This is a positive sign for the Lakers, who are banking on Kuzma to develop into an even better player than the one who showed up and surprised a lot of people during his rookie year in the NBA.

Here’s a brief rundown of what kind of experience the former Utah Ute has had in his first year in the NBA:
Kuzma was selected 27th overall in last year’s NBA Draft before putting up averages of 16.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 77 games to instantly become a key player for the Lakers.
With that kind of season, Kyle Kuzma is certainly going to head into the next campaign walking tall, especially after crushing his pain and gain program in the weight room — thanks to The Rock.
