Los Angeles Lakers small forward Kyle Kuzma isn't worried about missing the playoffs. The second-year swingman says once the team gets into a rhythm on both ends of the floor, the team will easily make the postseason for the first time since 2013.
The Lakers open up the second half of the season on Thursday against the Houston Rockets. Los Angeles is 28-29, 10th place in the Western Conference standings.
Despite the poor record and numbers that show the Lakers aren't a playoff team, Kyle Kuzma assures the fans the club will be playing in the postseason this year.

“The playoffs? Oh, I’m not worried,” Kuzma told Kevin Ding of Lakers.com. “We’ll be in. Yeah, I’m not worried. We’re going to be in the playoffs, but we’ve got to figure out ways to advance in the playoffs.
“When you’re a Laker, you’re held to different type of standard. Playoffs, championships … that’s all people in L.A. care about—more so the championships. We haven’t been able to do that [in the playoffs] the past six years. It’s our job to get us there this year.”
Kuzma is the second-leading scorer on the Lakers behind star LeBron James. The scoring forward is putting up 19.1 points per contest while shooting 46.7 percent from the field and 31.1 percent from beyond the arc.
We'll see if Kuzma's prediction comes true.
