Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma took to Twitter to react on getting an invite to join the USA Basketball training camp in August for the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

Kuzma was among the players included on the list a few months before USA defends their world title. Reacting to an update from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the 23-year-old said that he is gladly taking the invite, especially after not getting the chance when he was in high school and college.

In his first two years in the league, the former Utah standout has established himself as one of the most promising forwards in the league. The 27th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft averaged 17.3 points and 5.9 rebounds in his first two seasons with the Lakers.

Kuzma will be joining fellow youngster Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics in the USA Basketball training camp. Houston Rockets' James Harden, New Orleans Pelicans' Anthony Davis, Portland Trail Blazers' Damian Lillard and Cleveland Cavaliers' Kevin Love headline the training camp roster, per Wojnarowski.

Blazers star CJ McCollum, Washington Wizards' Bradley Beal, Rockets' Eric Gordon and PJ Tucker, Utah Jazz's Donovan Mitchell, Milwaukee Bucks' Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez, San Anotnio Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge and Detroit Pistons' Andre Drummond are also expected to attend.
