With the entire nation reeling from a string of random mass shootings of late, Los Angeles Lakers Kyle Kuzma has done his small bit in condoning all the violence that has senselessly taken the lives of so many innocent people.
While attending the Team USA basketball camp, Kuzma was seen sporting a white tee that had a very simple, yet powerful message: “Shoot hoops… Not people,” it read.

The violence in America has reached new heights this week, and it is very clear that we all need to do our share in trying to put an end to this madness. Kuzma's approach is simple, yet effective, as he banks on his popularity and media exposure to get his message of peace across.

Kuzma, 24, is coming off a tremendous second season with the Lakers. Last year, the 6-foot-9 power forward averaged 18.7 points (on 45.6 percent shooting), 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 33.1 minutes per contest. The former University of Utah alumni also knocked down 1.8 three-pointers per ballgame, and was the team's second leading scorer behind LeBron James.
The Lakers pretty much overhauled their lineup this summer, as the team parted ways with a number of its young prospects. L.A. appeared adamant to hang on to Kuzma, and it does seem that the put up quite a valiant fight to keep him in Hollywood.
However, with the arrival of Anthony Davis, it appears that Kuzma will be reverting to a back-up role for the new-look Lakers side. Nonetheless, being the stud that he is, we're pretty sure that the former 27th overall pick will thrive in the coming season regardless if he ends up starting or not.
