The Los Angeles Lakers are in no position to not take another team seriously, and LeBron James knows that better than anybody.

Ahead of the Lakers' game against the lowly Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night, James said that Los Angeles can't be looking past any teams:

“Nah, we’re struggling,” said James, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN. “We can’t be looking past nobody. We struggling, too. We don’t have the privilege of looking past anybody.”

Were the Lakers taking the Anthony Davis-less Pelicans too lightly? Who knows, but if they were, it's a huge concern, seeing as how Los Angeles is currently in 10th place in the Western Conference with less than two months to go in the regular season.

Not only that, but the Lakers will see the Pels again this week, as they will play host to New Orleans on Wednesday night before a showdown with the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday evening.

If Los Angeles really wants to make the postseason, it is going to have to start winning games against inferior competition regularly.

The Lakers have gone just 9-16 since their 20-14 start. Now, to be fair, LeBron James was sidelined for over a month during that stretch, and LA went just 6-11 over that span. However, since he has returned, the Lakers have not fared much better.
