LeBron James and Anthony Davis have yet to log any minutes in the preseason for the Los Angeles Lakers, but that won't be the case on Wednesday. According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, James and Davis will be active versus the Phoenix Suns.

Barring any changes, James and Davis will play in the first half against the Suns. At the same time, Frank Vogel said that Alex Caruso won't be suiting up for the Lakers, which would be his second consecutive game missed.

Seeing that NBA players didn't have much of an offseason, Vogel made it clear that he'd limit minutes in the preseason for James and Davis. Neither James and Davis played in the Lakers' first two preseason games versus the Los Angeles Clippers.

While the preseason doesn't matter, the Lakers won both games, mostly due to the contributions from Talen Horton-Tucker. Tucker has turned some heads at training camp and he could be competing for minutes on the reigning NBA champions.

Of course, with James and Davis finally making their preseason debut, James gets a chance to play against his close friend in Chris Paul. Plus, Los Angeles will get an opportunity to get a glance at the new-look Suns.

Without a doubt, the Lakers aren't too concerned with getting James and Davis minutes despite a handful of new additions to the roster during the offseason. At the least, fans could get their first look at James and Davis since the duo secured Los Angeles a title in October.
