LeBron James continues to speak out and not just dribble. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward has been a leading voice, not just in sports but also in the social climate as African-Americans fight for social equality.

As if he's still not busy enough, the four-time NBA champion plans to produce a documentary on the 1921 Tulsa Massacre, as reported by TMZ. LeBron is teaming up with CNN to shed light on one of the most racist incidents in U.S. history. As announced by LBJ's SpringHill Entertainment company, the documentary will be titled “Dreamland: The Rise and Fall of Black Wall Street.”

The 1921 Tulsa Massacre was a massive race war, which started when a 19-year-old black man was accused of assaulting a 17-year-old white woman in an elevator. Dozens got killed as opposing mobs attacked each other, while hundreds of families got displaced from their homes.

LeBron James wants to educate the public about the 100-year-old tragedy, as it has been overlooked for decades now. Some experts even believe it's covered up due to historical revisionism. SpringHill Entertainment chief content officer Jamal Henderson said the documentary will help in fully understanding the effects of racism.
