Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James says that his final game against former teammate Dwyane Wade was a “bittersweet” experience.
The two squared off in what turned out to be a close game to the finish on Monday night, with LeBron's team getting the upper hand in a 108-105 victory at Staples Center.
LeBron James came up one rebound shy of a triple-double by posting 28 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds, while Dwyane Wade finished with 15 points off the bench for the Heat.
But this matchup was one that produced plenty of emotions in both players given the success that they achieved while being teammates in Miami.
And James certainly let his emotions be known following the game, according to ClutchPoints Lakers beat reporter Ryan Ward.
LeBron facing on Wade: "Bittersweet. Every possession he was like the next one is getting closer & closer to the last one, so a lot of emotions right now for me just knowing I'm losing a brother in this gm that I've had so many wars with. So many wars together & separate." @NBATV

The bond that LeBron James and Dwyane Wade have built over the years is an admirable one, as they've been a part of countless memorable games both as teammates and opponents.
So, it has to be a surreal moment for both players, even with all the unbelievable things that they've been able to accomplish throughout their incredible careers.
But LeBron James will continue to do his thing with his new team, as the Lakers are playing with a lot of confidence right now after getting off to a slow start this season.
The chemistry is getting better, and that should bode well for this team's chances to continue rising up the Western Conference ladder.
Next up for the Lakers is a road matchup with the Houston Rockets on Thursday night.
