The Los Angeles Lakers suffered another embarrassing defeat on Saturday night, as they succumbed to a New Orleans Pelicans side that opted to rest wantaway star Anthony Davis.

Following his team's 128-115 loss, Lakers superstar LeBron James could not hide his frustration, and he was brutally honest about how he felt about losing:

“The last few years, everyone's so accustomed to the losses that I'm just not accustomed to,” James said, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN. “I'm not accustomed to it. I will never get comfortable with losing. So, losing Game 1 to Houston [at home], it feels the same way as losing Game 59 in New Orleans to me. It's just how I'm built. That's who I am.”

When he signed up for a very young and inexperienced Lakers squad last summer, LeBron knew what he was getting into. He understood that it was going to be a long and arduous process, and that success was not going to come overnight. Nonetheless, this does not make the taste of losing any less bitter, especially considering the manner by which Los Angeles lost to a struggling Pelicans side on Saturday.

Aside from this statement, James did have a lot of other things to say in his postgame interview, and this is clearly an attempt to rally the troops. The team still has more than 20 games in the regular season left, and a playoff spot is still well within striking distance. It will now be up to the rest of the Lakers squad if they are able to heed the call of their leader and get things together at the soonest possible time.
