The Denver Nuggets held a double-digit advantage over the Los Angeles Lakers at the half during their showdown at Pepsi Center on Sunday. Perhaps too overjoyed by their commanding lead over the reigning champions, they totally forgot that LeBron James is still pretty good.

The Nuggets extended their lead courtesy of a one-legged fadeaway from Nikola Jokic just as the shot clock expired. With less than five ticks remaining in the first half, and with Jamal Murray already celebrating Jokic's tough basket, LeBron made every second count as he rushed to the other end of the floor.

Like a runaway freight train, the four-time NBA MVP blew past several Nuggets defenders before jamming a sick one-handed throwdown right over a hapless Facundo Campazzo.

The highlight also proved to be some sort of revenge by LeBron against Campazzo after the Nuggets point guard fooled him with a no-look pass in an earlier possession.

The King and the Lakers' seven-game winning streak is in danger at the moment at the hands of the Nuggets. The Purple and Gold lost their other superstar, Anthony Davis, to what appeared to be an Achilles injury in the second period.

Still, the Nuggets should know better than give LeBron James an easy lane to the basket, especially with ample time remaining.
