On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Lakers got blown out by a New Orleans Pelicans team missing the services of superstar Anthony Davis. The game ended 128-115, but at one point, the hapless Lakers were down by as many as 20 points.
LeBron James was certainly not happy about the manner of the defeat, and he provided some insight on what he thinks about his team's struggles. According to the four-time league MVP and three-time NBA champion, it's all about getting out of your comfort zone:
“So you got to be comfortable with being uncomfortable, he said, via ESPN's Dave McMenamin. “So I'm not saying that's what we are as a whole. It kind of looks that way at times, that sometimes we're afraid to be uncomfortable and kind of get out of our comfort zone and kind of, you know, have that sense of urgency from the jump, and not be afraid to actually go out and fail to succeed.”
James absolutely hit the nail on the head here. The Lakers are a very young and inexperienced team, and at times, this is the very attitude they bring to the court. For his part, LeBron is definitely not a comfort zone type of guy, so he definitely knows what he's talking about.

“So, I mean we have, what? Twenty-three games left. We'll see what happens,” he stated.
Currently, the Lakers still remain three and a half games outside the playoff picture in the West, and at this point, James will need to bring in every bit of his 16 years of experience in order to give his team a fighting chance for a postseason run.
