That's why I came here. I came here to win. And obviously, we need to get better, as far as our personnel. We have an opportunity to get better. And there's a lot of talent out there, and a lot of guys that can help our franchise.
“So I'll be as active as I need to be for us to get better and go from there.”
The Lakers are expected to try and trade for New Orleans Pelicans star power forward Anthony Davis again. Los Angeles tried to acquire AD at the February trade deadline, but the Pelicans weren't interested in making a deal.
The Purple and Gold are missing the playoffs this season, the first year of the LeBron James era. The King, though, signed a four-year deal with the Lakers knowing that it would be a process to get the organization back to prominence.
Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler and Kemba Walker will all be free agents this summer. If the Lakers can get one of those guys next to LeBron, it would be a successful summer.
