After turning a lot of heads following the release of his first signature shoes from Big Baller Brand, Lonzo Ball once again made a lot of headlines during the Summer League when he decided to wear sneakers of other NBA stars, from different brands. Many wondered if the trend would continue once the regular season started, but the chatter was silenced when he sported the Prime Remix colorway of his ZO2s during the Los Angeles Lakers’ Media Day on Monday.

The 19-year-old later confirmed, via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN, that he will be rocking them as well on opening night, but is still uncertain if he’ll play with them on throughout the season, or still wear other brands instead.

“Who knows,” Ball said when asked if he will wear other brands such as Nike and Adidas during his rookie season. “Probably my shoes, though, thinking about it right now.

“I'll definitely be in my shoes the first game and then just go from there.”

Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and other big name sneaker and apparel manufacturers commonly release multiple colorways of shoes for their endorsers, and it’s unclear if Lonzo Ball will also have different ones during his rookie year. The questions about his kicks are expected to follow him this coming season, but if the Lakers fans are going to be asked about it, they certainly do not mind what he’ll wear, for as long as he lives up to expectations and helps the storied franchise become a winning group once again.
