Make no mistake, Lonzo Ball is an exceptional NBA talent. Although he hasn't exceeded the lofty expectations his father set for him, Ball is still a worthy lottery pick and contributor for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Ball is currently averaging 10.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 7.1 assists for the Lakers this season. In his absence, the Lakers have missed their dynamic point guard who effectively sets the pace for his team. Still, even though Ball is out with a knee injury, he still has found some way to keep himself busy. On Thursday, Ball announced that he has just released his first album “Born 2 Ball”.

The cover art for the album is interesting. It appears to show Lonzo Ball as a toddler alongside of his dad, LaVar Ball. Lonzo Ball has made it known that he is a music fanatic and a rapper himself. He has posted numerous videos of him free-styling on social media, and has hinted that he planned to release an album in the past.
It's not currently clear how this album will be received, but it should sell since Lonzo Ball and his dad are behind the scenes. In fact, this album will be the second recent release of a musical work by a NBA player. Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard released his own album, “Confirmed” in 2017. It did well commercially and was a mainstay on the Billboard 200.
Lonzo Ball isn't recognized as the best NBA rapper yet, but it appears that he wants to take the title from Lillard in the future. Though, it remains to be seen if the album will actually top one of Lillard's.
