Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard Lonzo Ball has some work to do.
If he's ever to live up to the expectations that come with being the second overall pick of the NBA Draft, he'll need to polish up some of the holes in his game.
Ball has shown flashes this season — certainly as a playmaker and defender but his shooting remains streaky. With the year nearing its end, Ball has already started thinking about where his focus is going to be in the offseason.

“In the offseason, definitely got to work on getting to the paint and just exploding,” he said. “I know I can do it. I just got to put my mind to it and get it done.”
It goes without saying that Ball will look to improve his jumper as well, but focusing on this aspect of his game may go a long way in that effort as well as it will allow him to be a better scorer in more ways.
Ball's rookie season has had its ups and downs. After a cold shooting start, he became reliable for a decent stretch after missing some games with an injury and has since fallen back down to the cold shooter he was at the start of the year.
If he can become more reliable, it will go a long way in making him a more complete player and potential future star.
