This year's class of NBA rookies went through their first photos for the upcoming season for their Panini Basketball card. Among of these players was Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard Lonzo Ball, who took to Twitter to voice his excitement about his first year in the league.

There is plenty of hype around Ball ahead of his first campaign with the Lakers that was only heightened by his play in the Las Vegas Summer League last month where he earned MVP honors. Beyond just the numbers of averaging a near triple-double, the 19-year-old put on display his unique passing ability and leadership skills on the floor.

This excitement around Ball has even spewed over to ESPN projecting him to become the Rookie of the Year for the 2017-18 season. The level of expectations for Ball is far and away the largest among any of the incoming talent this season as the Lakers have made it clear he has an opportunity to become next face of the franchise.

Along with that, he has received constant praise throughout the organization from management on down to the players about his ability on the court and leadership. He will have every opportunity to do so to meet these lofty expectations laid out before him ahead of his rookie season.
