The Los Angeles Lakers will aim to get point guard Lonzo Ball back on Friday, Feb. 23 against the Dallas Mavericks, according to Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times. The 20-year-old noted he feels good enough to play, but he's still questionable to take part on the Rising Stars game coming up this Friday, as part of the All-Star festivities.
Their No. 2 overall pick has been on the shelf since ironically enough an overtime affair against the Mavs, in which he played a season-high 43 minutes.
If he comes back against Dallas, as planned, he would have had a total of six weeks to recover from the discomfort on his left knee.
Los Angeles has been on a good trend, winning 12 of their last 17 games, and eight of 13 since Ball's injury — erasing their previous 0-7 mark without him from early in the season.

According to Luke Walton, the plan to reincorporate Ball into the fold won't affect his starting spot, but the Lakers will need much more from him offensively in hopes to attract free agents in the offseason.
Ball is averaging 10.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 7.1 assists through 36 games played this season, shooting only 35.6 percent from the floor and 30.3 percent from deep while making less than half of his shots from the free-throw line.
