The Los Angeles Lakers suffered yet another shocking defeat this season, this time at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers, who were 8-35 before the matchup.

This is the second time in a week the Lakers lost to a team that hasn't been able to crack up double-digit wins this season. They allowed the New York Knicks to steal a win against them as well.

The Knicks only had nine wins back then.

Both the Cavs and the Knicks are currently in the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings, and before notching a win against the Lakers, both teams were in nine and 12-game losing streaks, respectively.

After another sluggish performance, Lakers head coach Luke Walton is hoping that the players themselves are equally frustrated with what they haven't been able to accomplish lately — winning against teams they should be beating.

Walton already called out the Lakers a few days ago for their lack of effort against the Knicks, and the team seemed to have responded well by beating the Dallas Mavericks and the Detroit Pistons successively.

However, with a blowout loss against the Utah Jazz and by allowing the Cavs to steal a win, it looks like the head coach is back to the drawing board.

He already gave a hit that he might make changes in the starting line up in the next couple of games. However, coach Walton emphasized that he hasn't lost faith in this team and believes they still have what it takes to win.

The Lakers, who have been playing without LeBron James since Christmas Day, have gone to lose seven of their last nine games without him.

The team is expected to give an update on LeBron's injury on Wednesday.
