Russell Westbrook had a night to forget on Saturday night in Portland. The Los Angeles Lakers guard etched his name into the franchise's history books, but this time for the wrong reasons.

Westbrook made just one field goal on the evening, his only make in 13 attempts. His monumental misfiring was the first time a Lakers star shot that badly in the last six seasons. The last one to do it? Kobe Bryant.

While it's not exactly the best Lakers shortlist to get your name on, having Kobe Bryant as company is at least a small silver lining for Brodie. The Black Mamba went 1-for-14 way back in the 2015-16 season against the historically great Golden State Warriors team that went 73-9.

The Lakers were blown out of the water in that one, losing by a score of 111-77 as the Dubs went on to win their first 24 games.

Russell Westbrook was on the wrong side of Mamba Mentality against the Blazers, struggling to find his footing against a mediocre defensive squad. Similar to that Kobe game against the Warriors, the Lakers got stomped in Portland.

The Lakers guard admitted after the game that the instability surrounding the team amid a slew of injuries through their first 10 games has taken a toll on him. But, nonetheless, both Russell Westbrook and the purple and gold will have to soldier on.
