Russell Westbrook is expected to exercise his $47.1 million player option with the Los Angeles Lakers. This news comes just minutes after Westbrook posted a carefree jam-out session, which appeared to be a message to his “Westbrick” haters.
The Lakers guard tweeted a video of him in the car singing along to Beyonce's “Break My Soul” Tuesday morning.
“You won't break my soul
I'm telling everybody, everybody
Everybody, everybody”

NBA fans have continued to taunt Westbrook, calling him “Westbrick” even after the Lakers' season ended in early April. He's also dealt with rumors surrounding Kyrie Irving potentially replacing him in Los Angeles.
The Lakers were the top contending team to sign Irving if he became a free agent this offseason. However, he opted into his $37 million player option with the Brooklyn Nets, declining his option of free agency.
Westbrook made it pretty clear Tuesday morning that haters and trade rumors can't break his soul, especially with his $47.1 million paycheck. And it's safe to say that nobody makes feel-good, empowering music quite like Beyonce.
All of that being said, things might not be over just yet.
According to Brian Windhorst, the situation between Irving and the Lakers isn't off the table just yet. Windhorst said that “high-ranking people” believe there is still a possibility of a trade happening because of how interested both parties seemed.
