Legendary quarterback Tom Brady officially announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday after 22 seasons. Another sports legend, former Los Angeles Lakers big man Shaquille O'Neal, had a message for Brady upon his announcement.

Shaq apparently wants to see Brady come back for another season instead of riding off into the sunset:

Tom Brady, Shaq, Lakers, Buccaneers, Patriots

Is that a threat from the Lakers legend?!

In all seriousness, there are plenty of people sharing Shaq's sentiments. After all, Brady is retiring at the top of his game. While he didn't win another Super Bowl this season, he put forth another MVP-caliber campaign as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, throwing for a career-high 5,316 yards to go along with 43 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Those are absurd numbers for any quarterback, let alone one in his mid-40s. If Brady really wanted to, he probably could play until 50 years old.

However, the future Hall of Famer acknowledged how important his family was in making this decision, and he ultimately chose to go out now, much to the dismay of Shaq and so many other people in the sports world.

The Lakers legend knows a thing or two about dominance, and Brady will go down as one of the most dominant players the NFL has ever seen. The quarterback is viewed by many as the GOAT thanks to his seven Super Bowls wins, prolific stats and incredible longevity, and it's hard to argue with it. It's going to be extremely hard to match Brady's NFL accomplishments.
