Talen Horton-Tucker has certainly been making the most of his extra opportunities for the Los Angeles Lakers as of late. With superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis still out of the lineup due to injuries, the 20-year-old sophomore has been doing his best to fill in those massive shoes.

Against the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center on Friday, THT once again proved why the Lakers brass made the right call of not trading him away at the deadline. Horton-Tucker toyed with multiple Kings defenders at one point in the second half. After catching the pass from teammate Markieff Morris, he faked the three and attacked the heart of the Sacramento defense.

He got past Terence Davis and proceeded to school Chimezie Metu with this dazzling reverse lay-up.

While Talen Horton-Tucker does a lot of things right on the basketball court, it's his craftiness and ability to finish in the paint that stands out the most. The former second-round pick has taken quite the leap in his second season, emerging as a vital player for Lakers head coach Frank Vogel after riding the bench for most of his rookie year.

While his minutes continue to fluctuate for the Lakers, THT makes sure to reward coach Vogel each time he gets extended opportunities on the floor. He is averaging 7.9 points on 44.3 percent shooting from the field, along with 2.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists prior to Friday's road game.
