Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James shut down all the talks that he'd take things slowly and rest his body for the most part of the season.

Early in the third quarter of their opening night showdown against the Los Angeles Clippers, James soared for his patented one-handed jam.

Clippers swingman Paul George was at the receiving end of the monster dunk and made the right business decision to not challenge The King, as James went way up. Check out the jam here:

LeBron James' monstrous bucket brought the Lakers to within two, 63-61, after falling behind early. The Clips were off to a great start and controlled opening proceedings before the Purple and Gold turned on the jets and made a huge run to close out the first half. Indeed, huge plays like this from The King are why the team should never be counted out despiteĀ  their struggles.

It's opening night and some rust is to be expected, but James knocking down huge dunks only goes to show that the four-time Finals MVP is already locked in as early as Day 1. Hopefully for Lakers fans, James, Anthony Davis and the rest of the new-look LA crew continue to pick up the pace as they start their 2020-21 title defense.
