After news came out that Lonzo Ball is expected to make is return to action on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks, the Los Angeles Lakers fans are very excited with the development. However, there are also others who are concerned about how Isaiah Thomas' addition will affect his game.
The two showed during their latest practice session that they are willing to work with one another as they were spotted by ClutchPoints' own Ryan Ward putting up some 3-pointers together, and already appears to be trying to build some chemistry.

Ball has been the undisputed starter of the Lakers since he made his debut for them earlier this season. That makes it very interesting now as Thomas is a two-time All-Star and even made it clear before that he does not prefer coming off the bench. If there's any good news for the Los Angeles faithful at this point though, the two may have already discussed how they plan to be more effective on the court. Should they show that they can play alongside each other and produce solid numbers night in and night out, that could force head coach Luke Walton to start them both in the backcourt spots.
Thomas landed with the Purple and Gold as part of the deal that sent Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. to the Cleveland Cavaliers ahead of the trade deadline earlier this month. Now with the Lakers, Thomas could serve as a veteran locker room leader to them as well and take Ball under his wings to help him become an even better player in the years to come, and be one of the team's cornerstones along with their other young guns.
It all starts with spending time together while working, and with the looks of it from their latest practice session, they have started their partnership on a positive note.
