Since debuting for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, Lonzo Ball has shown that he excels as an all-around player, having the ability to score, rebound, drop dimes, and even defend his opponents well. However, one aspect of his game that may need some improvement is his consistency in knocking down shots from the field.

Throwing down dunks has not been one of his stronger suits as well, as he more often finishes shots near the basket with layups and floaters. On Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, he tried to pull off a one-hand slam during a fastbreak, but muffed it, with the ball heading towards the first row behind the Cavs bench. He still tried to save the ball though, but it ended up in the hands of Kyle Korver instead.

Ball did not have a strong outing on the night, as he only recorded five points, on 2-of-11 shooting from the field, to go along with three rebounds and seven assists. The good news for him is that despite his sub-par performance, the Lakers still ended up with the win, 127-113.

Julius Randle and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope stepped up their games, finishing with 36 and 20 points respectively. Their production more than made up for Ball's struggles on the night and made it possible for the Lakers to win their 30th game of the season.

The Cavs, on the other hand, were led by LeBron James' 24 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists, with former Laker Larry Nance Jr. chipping in 16 points and eight rebounds in his first game back in Staples Center since being traded last month.
