With the draft just around the corner, more and more reports are surfacing about the prospects and the teams who want to draft them. The reports intensified due to the big trade between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers, but there are more rumors and more possible trades to be done.
One pick that is not in any trade talks is the Lakers' selection, the second overall pick. Ball is, of course, more widely known due to his father's antics. LaVar Ball is trying his hardest to hype up not only his son, but also his shoe and apparel brand. The 2017 NBA Draft will be held in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on June 22nd. The 76ers, per the trade with the Celtics announced on Monday, will select first, with Lakers, Celtics, Suns, and Kings rounding out the top five.
While the first pick is already known to be Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball is not that safe at number two given the deep pool of talent available. Another possible solution for the Lakers at the second pick, per some reports, is Kansas forward Josh Jackson.
