The Boston Celtics on Tuesday night came out the big winners in the draft lottery grabbing the first overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
However, the Celtics were not the only cheerful organization from the results, as the Los Angeles Lakers were able to keep their top three protected first round pick by landing right behind their rivals for the second overall selection.
With Los Angeles once again getting the luck of the draw in the draft lottery for the third straight year landing in the No.2 spot, team president Magic Johnson displayed his Laker roots with his reaction to the Celtics getting the top selection.
Magic Johnson on Celtics getting top pick: "I still hate them."

Johnson's hatred toward the Celtics runs deep in their intense rivalry in the 1980s that saw them meet in the NBA Finals three times with the Lakers winning two of those matchups. It's clear that those strong emotions are still prevalent within the Lakers' new executive.
Things could get interesting leading up to the draft with both teams in prime position to add some promising talent to their rosters. Much of this should surround where the likely top two selections in UCLA‘s Lonzo Ball and Washington‘s Markelle Fultz would end up.
It's no secret that Ball has his eyes solely on joining the Lakers. Meanwhile, Fultz didn't go through the NBA Draft combine last week but did meet with eight teams that included both of these illustrious franchises.
Beyond just that, it's quite evident that there is no love lost for Johnson's feelings toward the Celtics.
