Prior to entering the NBA, James' jump shot was tagged by scouts as unreliable and vastly needs some improvement. Throughout the course of his NBA career, however, James has steadily improved his shot. James devotees can even point out how his form evolved over the years.

Though still not considered an elite shooter, James has not shied away from rising up from the perimeter, from right behind the arc, and — as the clip showed — from near midcourt. In fact, his perimeter game has been his go-to tool during a game's clutch moments.

His warm-up shots were reminiscent of the 3-pointer he made against the San Antonio Spurs — the shot that eventually sent the game to overtime. It goes to show that it wasn't a fluke. James has been practicing the shot, hoping to be ready when the need arises.

Against the Nuggets, will fans get another look at James' Stephen Curry impersonation? Let's watch and see to find out.
