Already missing the services of their starting point guard, D'Angelo Russell, the Los Angeles Lakers saw another one of their key rotation players go down with an injury.
Nick Young left the first quarter of their game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday after suffering a right Achilles tendon strain. He attempted to block a shot from Pelicans' guard Tim Frazier and landed awkwardly on it with only less than two minutes into the ballgame.

The 31-year-old USC product is scheduled to undergo an MRI ahead of their game on Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls to see the extent of the injury. His status for that matchup is still up in the air.
Article Continues BelowHead coach Luke Walton discussed how it will be difficult not having Young in their lineup should he be forced to miss significant time and what adjustments he'll need to do.
“It will be tough. Without breaking up that second unit — the filling in the shooting guard spot while D'Angelo [Russell] is already hurt — we'll have to get creative.”
Jordan Clarkson is expected to fill the void left by Young with even Metta World Peace possibly seeing an uptick in his minutes.
