Erik Spoelstra's Miami Heat has been the hottest team in the NBA lately. They have won seven straight games, and are now fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Specifically, they are 1.5 games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 3rd spot. The Heat are defying all of the odds set against them this season, especially after the departure of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh.
When asked about their current seven-game winning streak, Spoelstra and the Heat's players didn't have a typical response, according to Anthony Chiang of the Palm Beach Post.

Spoelstra: “Nothing. It doesn’t mean anything.”
Dragic: “It means nothing because we still have 40 games left.”
Whiteside: “What winning streak?”
After the Heat defeated the Bucks 97-79 on Sunday, Spoelstra cited his team's second half play for their convincing win, according to Shandel Richardson of the Sun Sentinel.
“I thought the guys really stepped it up in the second half. It was great to see those inspiring efforts,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “ Even at the end, the loose balls, [James Johnson] diving on the floor. You don’t need to do that at that point but that’s becoming the DNA of this group. It was good to see us put together one of our better, more complete defensive efforts for the entire game.”
The Heat play the Bulls on Monday night as they look to add to their winning streak. Miami does not seem too concerned with their winning streak, and they are focused on the games ahead rather than the heat of the moment.
