Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic is dealing with a torn plantar fascia, one of the most painful injuries for a basketball player.

Dragic isn't expected to play in Game 2 of the 2020 Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers at Walt Disney World, as he's being listed as doubtful by the team.

According to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, the only way Dragic will be able to play in Game 2 is if “there's some way to mitigate the amounts of pain that would come from trying to run, jump and cut on a torn plantar fascia.”

You have to feel bad for Goran Dragic and the Heat. The southpaw is playing in his first NBA Finals and couldn't even last 15 minutes.

Sometimes, the basketball gods aren't kind.

The Heat have already ruled out All-Star big man Bam Adebayo for Game 2. Miami faces an uphill climb to win this series despite how talented of a player small forward Jimmy Butler is. Without Adebayo and Dragic, the Heat just don't have enough scoring to compete with the Lakers, who are clicking on all cylinders at the moment.

Dragic becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason. Multiple reports have said the Heat want to re-sign the veteran guard since he's got a strong relationship with Butler and Adebayo and Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra loves coaching The Dragon.

If Dragic doesn't play again in the Finals, he'll finish the 2020 playoffs with averages of 19.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.
