Veteran small forward Vince Carter would reportedly consider signing with the Miami Heat this summer in free agency if the team is interested in signing him, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
Carter becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He announced on Wednesday he's going to play one more season in the NBA before retiring. Carter played with the Atlanta Hawks in 2018-19.

Carter would be among a couple dozen free agent possibilities to fill the Dwyane Wade role.
Carter averaged 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists this season with the Hawks. The former high-flyer shot 41.9 percent from the field, 38.9 percent from beyond the arc and 71.2 percent from the free-throw line.
The Heat missed the playoffs in 2018-19. With legend Dwyane Wade retired, Carter could be that veteran swingman for Miami who comes off the bench and gets buckets. Vince has career averages of 17.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 1,481 games.
Heat president Pat Riley wants to be aggressive this summer in free agency. The problem is that Miami doesn't have the cap space to sign star players.
