Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors suffered a heartbreaking loss at the hands of the Miami Heat and their farewell hero Dwyane Wade, who banked in the game-winning 3-pointer as the clock expired.
The Warriors had come back from a 24-point deficit on the road, only to see their efforts go to waste when Wade tossed up a last-second prayer, one that was answered as the clock hit zero.

It was a slight moment of disbelief by Wade, who had gotten his 3-point attempt blocked by Jordan Bell milliseconds before launching the game-winning prayer. Curry, who watched it all unfold

“Moments like tonight just remind you of how great he is,” said Curry of Wade. “It just sucks that it was against us.”

The Warriors struggled from the onset against a hot-shooting Heat team that was firing from beyond the arc, while the Warriors struggled to connect from long-range.
A late second-quarter rally cut the lead to 15 heading into the half, cutting it to eight by the end of the third quarter. Golden State grabbed a four-point lead into the final minutes of the fourth quarter, but a late Curry turnover and a Kevin Durant missed free-throw opened the window for Wade's heroics — likely to remain the highlight of his 16th and last season in the league, doing so in front of his adoring home fans at the American Airlines Arena.
