The Milwaukee Bucks saw star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo suffer a fairly significant ankle sprain on Thursday night in the team's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. In the fourth quarter of what was a blowout win for the Wolves, Antetokounmpo sprained his left ankle badly.

As with any significant ankle sprain, the Greek forward had a tough time walking and putting weight on his left foot after the game, putting his availability for Friday night's game against the New York Knicks in serious jeopardy. However, upon looking at the game notes for the matchup between the two Eastern Conference teams trying to make the playoffs, Antetokounmpo is listed as a probable starter for the Bucks.

This comes as great news for the Bucks' fanbase as well as the organization as Antetokounmpo continues to lead the Bucks' charge that will hopefully result in a playoff berth come April. Antetokounmpo is in the midst of a career-season with averages of 28.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game on 54.6 percent shooting from the field.

Friday also marks the first game of the season for forward Jabari Parker, who has been rehabbing from a torn ACL suffered last season. Parker is expected to be limited to just 15 minutes in his season debut.

While Parker returns, the Bucks also discovered that second year guard and 2017 Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon will miss six-to-eight weeks with a partially torn left quad.
