After winning his first-ever NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo went on a different kind of mission on Wednesday night. The two-time MVP apparently had to do a grocery run at his local CVS and made sure to go full James Bond and went undercover.
And, unlike in the movies, Giannis seemingly didn't need much to pull off the mission. According to Giannis' latest post on Twitter, all he needed was a black hoodie and an N95 face mask to go completely unnoticed as he snagged a few essentials:
“Nobody recognizes me!! 😂😂” the Bucks star posted.

As much as we want to believe the reigning NBA Finals MVP, it's hard to fathom how an athlete of his stature (and status) can go completely unrecognizable. Granted that only 40-50% of his actual face was seen but there should've been at least one person there who would've flagged him as Giannis. Surely, the cashier would've immediately recognized his accent the moment he said he was paying via credit card.
Thankfully, Antetokounmpo is following protocol and is masking up as he roams around the city of Milwaukee ahead of training camp. The Bucks have had a restful summer after that incredible NBA Finals run and wouldn't want to mess up training camp if someone like Giannis disobeyed health and safety protocol and unfortunately contracted COVID-19.
Antetokounmpo has been vocal that he's far from being satisfied after winning his first-ever title and with the way he's been conquering missions on and off the court, don't be surprised if the ‘Greek Freak' makes another title run this season.
