The Milwaukee Bucks will welcome Jrue Holiday back into their lineup tonight as they face the New York Knicks. Holiday will be returning from a five-game abscence and play in just his third game of the season.
Holiday suffered a heel contusion in the Bucks' season opener and it has kept him on the sideline. His return will greatly help the injury-riddled Bucks, who will be without Khris Middleton (COVID-19), Brook Lopez (back) and Donte DiVincenzo (foot) tonight. Especially against a strong offensive team, having Holiday return is great news for Gianntis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.
Mike Budenholzer said Holiday got through practice well and he’ll play tonight. https://t.co/91EW82bbxa

In his first season with Milwaukee, Holiday played an intregal part in the Bucks' championship-winning team. He averaged 17.7 points, 6.1 assists and 4.5 rebounds during the regular season. With his slashing, playmaking and stellar perimeter defense, the three-time All-Defensive Team member is one of Milwaukee's biggest difference makers.
Holiday's skills will certainly be needed against the Knicks, who have a lineup featuring four-time All-Star Kemba Walker and RJ Barrett, who has scored at least 23 points in three straight games. Whichever player that coach Mike Budenholzer asigns Holiday to will likely be in for a tough night.
The Bucks have been a middle-of-the-pack team on both sides of the ball while most of their key players move in and out of the lineup. Antetokounmpo is averaging 27.4 points, 10.8 rebounds and 6.4 assists so far this season. With one of his key playmakers and scorers back, he'll have an easier time taking advantage of a struggling Knicks defense.
