Drake made waves over the weekend after the much-anticipated release of his latest studio album. The NBA world also took notice of the Grammy Award-winning rapper's CLB album with the likes of Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo getting a shoutout in one of Drake's tracks.
Drake has since spoken out about the reason behind his decision to include the reigning Finals MVP into one of his songs, and it isn't exactly the response you'd expect from the Certified Lover Boy:

Apparently, Drake came out with the Giannis shoutout because of this one single tweet. The challenge of being able to fit Giannis Antetokounmpo into a bar emerged as a running joke after the Bucks won the NBA title last season. Drake is a huge NBA supporter, and fans from around the globe were adamant that Champagne Papi would somehow incorporate the Milwaukee superstar into one of his tracks — and so he did.
For what it's worth, Kanye West's Donda album also dropped last week, and it also featured a Giannis shoutout. Fans have since been debating who had the better Antetokounmpo bar. These two rap icons have been going at it for quite some time now, but it looks like they can agree on one thing — that Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the top players in the game today.
