It doesn't matter what stage he's on, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is always going to have highlight plays on both ends of the floor.

The Greek Freak threw down a couple of massive throwdowns earlier in their FIBA World Cup tournament opener against Montenegro. He also didn't forget to serve up some defensive highlights for the Chinese crowd.

In the third quarter, with Greece comfortably ahead 47-20, Giannis Antetokounmpo emphatically denied a courageous dunk attempt by Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic.

This is a scene all too familiar for Milwaukee Bucks fans. We saw numerous plays like this of the reigning NBA MVP helping from the weak side and sending out an unwelcome rejection to his challenger at the rim.

That block was Antetokounmpo's lone rejection of the night. It was light evening for the Greek superstar as he finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, and two steals in just 16 minutes.

Vucevic, on the one hand, led Montenegro with 12 points, three boards, and two steals. However, he shot just 6-of-14 from the field.

The Greeks man-handled their opening day foes and Montenegro simply didn't stand a chance. Greece held a 26 point advantage at half time and led by as much as 30 points in the fourth quarter.

Greece will play Brazil, who also won their opening game, next on Tuesday. They will have New Zealand in their third and final game of the opening round.

The Greeks have lofty expectations for this year's FIBA World Cup as they look to capture their first ever gold medal finish. With Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way, they should certainly be confident of their chances to shock the world.
