Minnesota Timberwolves forward Andrew Wiggins was on track to return to action against the Los Angeles Lakers, but was ultimately ruled out. Wiggins has missed the past two games with a quad injury.
Tom Thibodeau says Andrew Wiggins went through shootaround without any limitations. He will play against the Lakers tonight, barring any hitch in warmups.

Without Andrew Wiggins, the Timberwolves got torched by the Milwaukee Bucks in last Friday night's game, 125-95. Last Wednesday was a bit closer of a matchup, however the Toronto Raptors got the better of the T'Wolves , 112- 105. It's clear that Minnesota has yet to return to their playoff form from last season, but with Wiggins back things could change for the better.
Rookie Josh Okogie has moved into the starting lineup in place of the injured Wiggins. Okogie posted a double-double in last Wednesday night's game against the Toronto Raptors. The rookie guard had 10 points and 11 rebounds in 27 minutes. As long as Wiggins is healthy, Okogie will return to the second unit where he'll look to make the most of a more limited amount of minutes.
In four games this season, Andrew Wiggins has averaged 15.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.3 steals. The former 2015 Rookie of the Year has been a solid player for Minnesota in his career. He did see his stat line take a bit of a dip last season with the addition of Jimmy Butler prior to last season despite starting all 82 games.
Similar to the Timberwolves, the Los Angeles Lakers possess a lot of talent and have yet to establish a strong chemistry. Monday night's game will be an interesting matchup as it's possible both teams can unleash big play ability. This contest could prove to be a shootout in Minnesota.
