Fresh off his career-high 50 points against the Utah Jazz Wednesday night, Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Derrick Rose is still the talk of the NBA world.

Rose, who has undergone four knee surgeries and one eye procedure, played 41 minutes against the Jazz and was magnificent from start to finish. The Chicago native finished with 50 points while shooting 19-of-31 from the field, 4-of-7 from beyond the arc and 8-of-11 from the free-throw line. He also dished out six assists, grabbed four rebounds, and had the game-winning block on Jazz guard Dante Exum at the end of regulation from the right corner.

When the former MVP entered the game Friday night against the Warriors, the fans in Golden State showed Rose some love.

Kudos to the Warriors fans for giving Rose some cheers. Scoring 50 points is one thing, but to do it after all the injuries Rose has gone through is really remarkable.

Derrick Rose entered Friday averaging 18.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. The 30-year-old says he wants to win the Sixth Man of the Year award this season. If he does, he'll join Bill Walton as the only two players in NBA history to win the MVP award first, and then the Sixth Man of the Year award later on.
