The Minnesota Timberwolves host Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday, and Timberwolves point guard Derrick Rose is questionable to play.

Rose made his return to the lineup on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks after missing six consecutive games with a right ankle sprain. The former MVP played 27 minutes and finished with 21 points and five assists in Minnesota's four-point loss to Dallas.

There's still a chance Derrick Rose could play, but head coach Ryan Saunders did say on Friday he wants to ease Rose back in, so we'll have to see what Rose and the coach decide to do.

Rose is averaging 18.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game this season for the Timberwolves. The Chicago native is shooting 48.6 percent from the floor, 46.8 percent from beyond the arc and 84.2 percent from the free-throw line.

D-Rose showed no signs of rust on Friday against Dallas despite missing six games. If he's unable to play on Saturday, Tyus Jones will get more playing time.

Minnesota enters Saturday with a record of 20-22, putting them at the 11th spot in the Western Conference standings. It's going to be tough for the Timberwolves to defeat the Pelicans if they are without Derrick Rose, who is the second leading scorer on the team behind All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns.
