Through his first two seasons, Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns has quickly become one of the promising stars in the NBA.
This has led to him receiving many unique off-the-court opportunities to further expand on his rising popularity, which the latest came with an appearance in the music video for Katy Perry's new song “Swish Swish” featuring Nicki Minaj.
Article Continues BelowAlthough it was a short cameo, it speaks to Towns' continued ascension to becoming a household name. He has already made several different commercials since entering the NBA for companies such as Nike, Hersey's, NBA 2K, Gatorade, and Jack Links' Beef Jerky.
The 21-year-old has more than earned these various opportunities with his stellar play on the court as he has quickly shown superstar talent. Towns is coming off an impressive second year where he put up career highs across the board averaging 25.1 points on 54.2 percent shooting from the field and 36.7 percent from beyond the arc with 12.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.
With the Timberwolves revamping their roster this offseason, Towns could become an MVP candidate in his third year behind his individual play and team's success that may see them develop into a serious threat to the defending champion Golden State Warriors.
