The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed forward Cam Reynolds to a 10-day contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Reynolds has been the spent 2018-19 campaign in the G League playing for the Stockton Kings. In 33 games and nine starts, he has averaged 16.0 points and 4.2 rebounds over 28.0 minutes per game while shooting 46.2 percent from the floor, 41.9 percent from 3-point range and 78 percent from the free-throw line.
The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate basketball at Tulane University, went undrafted last summer but ended up signing a contact with the Sacramento Kings at the end of September. However, he was waived by the Kings nearly three weeks later, and since then, he has been spending his time with the Kings' G League team.
Article Continues BelowReynolds actually spent five years at Tulane, earning an extra year of eligibility due to an injury that limited him to just nine games in what would have been his sophomore season with the team.
During his final year with Tulane, Reynolds started all 31 contests in which he played and registered 15.1 points, 6.3 boards and 2.2 assists across 36.0 minutes a night while making 40.8 percent of his field goal attempts, 35.3 percent of his long-distance tries and 70.3 percent of his foul shots.
His best season, however, came during his junior campaign, when he made 29 starts in 31 appearances and posted 17.0 points and 6.8 rebounds through 35.2 minutes per game while connecting on 42.4 percent of his shots, 38.8 percent of his triples and 79.6 percent of his free throws.
The Timberwolves defeated the Kings on Monday night, improving to 29-31 on the season.
