Team USA has indeed come a long way since 2004, regaining lost basketball dominance.
The NBA remains to be a hotbed for the best basketball talent in the world, and the Americans are leading the way. But right behind them are countries who figure to give the traditional powers a serious challenge in a few year’s time.
One of them is Canada. Andrew Wiggins is one of the best Canadian basketball players out there, and in an interview, the Minnesota Timberwolves forward mentioned that his country has the second best talent next to the United States.

They are indeed stacked with Wiggins, Tristan Thompson, Jamal Murray, Kelly Olynyk, Corey Joseph, and Anthony Bennett leading the way. Meanwhile, other nations are not to be outdone on paper. Australia and France are also loaded with NBA players on their respective rosters.
The rest of the world will have a few more years of honing their own talents before setting their eyes on Team USA’s back come 2020 in Tokyo.
